As we mentioned back in July, musicians Jack White and Alicia Keys have teamed up for the latest Bond song. “Another Way to Die” - written by the White Stripes singer - is the first 007 track performed as a duet.

Although it was once believed Amy Winehouse would be the next Bond performer, her personal troubles prevented that project from ever coming together.

The soundtrack will hit the shelves on October 28. The movie will then arrive in theaters on November 14.

Eagle Eye

Despite mixed reviews for his latest film, Shia LaBeouf once again proved he has box office appeal. , a film from Disturbia‘s D.J. Caruso, earned $29.2 million over the past three days and the #1 spot. Even a Friday night presidential debate couldn’t stop the thriller from putting nearly $16 million between itself and Nights in Rodanthe, this weekend’s #2. Although Nights - the third pairing for Diane Lane and Richard Gere - took in $13.4 million, the romantic drama did almost $1 million less than 2002’s Unfaithful.

- a faith-based film starring Kirk Cameron - surprised many with its 4th place finish. Although it was only available in 839 theaters, the movie had an impressive $8111 per screen average. Meanwhile, two films outside the Top Ten boasted averages over the $10,000 mark. The Duchess (ranked #13) pulled in $10,238 per theater while Ed Harris’ Appaloosa (#35) did slightly better with $10,469.

Weeks after being placed on the 2008 calendar, MGM has released a second trailer for . The movie - which as received a lot of press for all the wrong reasons - stars Tom Cruise as a German officer plotting to take down Hitler. Unfortunately, those still hoping for a hint of an accent (like I was) or any deviation from the star’s Mission Impossible persona may still be disappointed by this new clip.

Tell us what you think. Is it wrong for me to expect an Oscar-nominated actor - someone who at least attempted an accent in Far and Away - to sound less like an action star?

Valkyrie, also starring Terence Stamp, Kenneth Branagh and , opens December 26.

Paul NewmanPaul Newman, the Academy Award-winning actor and philanthropist, died Friday at his home near Westport, Conn. The 83-year-old passed away after a long a battle with cancer.

In 2007, Paul told that he intended to put acting behind him. At that point, Newman had already starred in a string of classic films including The Hustler, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, and Cool Hand Luke. Choke comes out September 26What do you get when you mix an elderly, female Tyler Durden with a choking con artist and a recovering compulsive masturbator? Clark Gregg’s dark, vulgar comedy with a surprisingly big heart, Choke.

Being a fan of the novel from which the film is based (written by Fight Club author Chuck Palahniuk), I was overwhelmed with geeky fan-girl joy when I read that Choke was to be translated into film. That was three years ago. After nearly waiting an excruciating year after hearing about its premiere at Sundance, the indie film with an all-star cast helmed by writer/director/actor Clark Gregg is finally hitting theaters this weekend, and it certainly will not disappoint movie-goers. That is, unless, the trailer fooled you into believing that the film is a romantic comedy.

Romantic? In a punk rock way. Comedic? Most definitely. Chick flick? Far from.

Regardless of whether or not you’re a fan of the novel, Sam Rockwell (Confessions of a Dangerous Mind) wonderfully brings Victor Mancini to life as the med school drop-out sex addict who pays for his mother’s hospital bill by choking in restaurants. Anjelica Huston (The Royal Tenenbaums) and Kelly MacDonald (No Country for Old Men) round off the supporting actresses as Mancini’s mother and the new, attractive doctor who assumes care for her. Clark himself makes an appearance as High Lord Charlie, Mancini’s anal-retentive boss at a colonial theme park, where Mancini works as a historical interpreter (a job, as we’re reminded in the film, which is not to be confused with a tour guide).
